A true northwest native and hopeless devotee, I’m drawn to locales often near water be it Puget Sound, the Pacific Ocean or one of our wonderful rivers and lakes. Add to that the lush green forests still abounding on the Olympic Peninsula and the Cascade Mountain range and you have the perfect settings in my writing for love, betrayal, discovery and recovery.

My philosophy for a fulfilled life, long before I found the William James quote “Act as if what you do makes a difference, it does.” shades my writing in strong moral messages whether it be contemporary literature or mystery.

I’ve been creating my way through life, be it stories, adventures or gatherings. So it’s no surprise that on my way to becoming a CPA I discovered I was much more interested in people than numbers and changed my college major from accounting to human resources.

Stored up from those decades of working with prospective, current and former employees come tales both comedic and tragic of successes and failures all begging to be told. Some are presented as nonfiction and others, in order to spare the innocent, morphed into the wonderful world of fiction.

Friends and family are fully aware that anything they say or do may be used in a story. So new acquaintances and strangers beware……
